what i believe

  1. 01

    nobody reads instructions mid-panic.

so it’s one tap from “i’m not okay” to the first breath. a widget on your home screen, one big button, a four-second countdown — and we’re already breathing.

  2. 02

    you can close your eyes.

vibration keeps the rhythm, quiet tones mark the phases. you can breathe with your eyes shut, turned away from the screen — it’s an option, not a requirement.

  3. 03

    no lectures. i’m just here.

i speak calmly, as an equal, with no lesson attached. i’ll stay while it’s hard.

help is one tap away

the widget sits on your home screen, next to the icons for calls and the camera. press it and you’re breathing with me for two minutes. no app to open, nothing to choose.

one minute, and the world slows down

the sigh: two breaths in, one after another, and a long breath out through the mouth. your body does this on its own when it lets go — we just repeat it deliberately. five or six rounds is usually enough.

deep in 3s nose · belly out
top-up 1s nose · to full
out 6s mouth · slow

this is the rhythm behind the “i’m not okay” button. the others are for their own moments:

talking with sova

i ask, you answer

a conversation, not a questionnaire

sova asks a couple of questions and, from your answers, brings you to the technique that fits how you feel. it’s not AI — every line is written in advance. that’s why the conversation works offline, and nothing you say goes anywhere.

questions

what people usually ask

what do you collect about me?

almost nothing. there’s no account, i don’t ask for your name or email, and there’s nowhere to type — every reply is written in advance, so there’s no chat history to keep. i do not request location, contacts, camera or microphone. the only thing collected is anonymous statistics like “opened a screen, picked a technique” — no text, nothing tied to you. the servers are in russia.

the details are in the privacy policy →

do i need internet?

no. everything that matters works offline: the techniques, our conversation, the widget. google services aren’t needed either — i run on any android. internet is only for updates.

i have never breathed like this. where do i start?

press “i’m not okay”, or say what’s going on — i’ll choose the technique, you don’t have to think. if you want to understand how it works, start with 4-7-8: short breath in, a pause, long breath out. a minute is usually enough to feel the difference. the rest can wait.

i see a therapist and take medication. is this okay?

yes, one doesn’t get in the way of the other: breathing has no interaction with pills. i’m for the time between appointments — the minute it hits, when help is only on thursday. and it’s a good reason to tell your specialist what helps and what doesn’t.

can i breathe with no sound at all?

yes. turn off the tones and the background noise in settings — only vibration stays, and i’ll keep the rhythm silently. handy when someone is asleep next to you. headphones work too, if you would rather shut the world out.

what if i feel worse during a session?

stop, and just breathe the way you breathe. it happens, especially with long holds. afterwards i’ll ask how you’re doing and offer something gentler. if it gets worse every time, see a doctor: that’s your body saying the cause isn’t the breathing.

is it suitable for a teenager?

yes. it’s rated for all ages: the techniques are simple and safe, and there’s nothing frightening inside. we suggest 12 and up on their own, and younger children alongside an adult. if a child is anxious often, breathing helps in the moment, but the adults around should know about it — it’s easier to work out together.

try it right now

you can breathe in the browser, with nothing to install — this is the web version. vibration and the widget live only in the app. the apps for iphone and android are on the way.

if it’s really bad

sova helps you settle through breathing, and it does not replace a real person. if it’s unbearable right now, or you’re thinking of hurting yourself — call. someone will answer, and they will be on your side.
